Tea for two

We are so happy to be featuring this lovely couple and their engagement story. Sometimes things don't go as planned, but they always turn out with a positive outcome!

How we met

We both met at work in 2013, I worked in HR and he was a new starter! We met at the end of the working day for a 30-minute catch up but we couldn't stop talking and ended up going for dinner straight after and was out until gone 11pm! We had our first date by the end of that week and the rest was history!

The proposal

We'd just come home from travelling and decided to take another little trip in England before going back to work and picked Harrogate in Yorkshire for a few days away. Paulo said he originally planned to propose in Betty's tea room (thinking a tea room was a private room for us not a huge room with lots of other people!), and failed twice more as I was being lazy and didn't want to go for a walk! Finally after a day at the spa we went to Valley Gardens and while I was taking a photo he just dropped on one knee right there and then! I was not expecting it at all and couldn't believe how beautiful the ring was - it's perfect!

Paolo proposed to Lauren with our beautiful Katie oval teal sapphire ring with side marquise diamonds. Congratulations lovebirds!
